Firdaus Nagree is a founder, investor, venture partner and growth architect with three decades of experience building and growing ventures across interiors, logistics, wellness, technology, property and education.
He began investing in equities and residential property at 18, mostly out of curiosity and impatience, with early punts on companies like Google and Apple.
At 21, he joined Accenture to begin a career in strategy consulting, which proved a useful training ground before he wandered off to do something more interesting.
After leaving Accenture, Firdaus founded and co-founded a number of businesses across a range of sectors and geographies, including FCI London, a multi-award-winning interiors and lifestyle group with operations in the UK, UAE, Nigeria and India.
He has also built up a residential and commercial property portfolio and remains actively involved in a collection of property ventures in the UK, Nigeria, Dubai & India.
For the past 20 years, he has been backing and mentoring early-stage founders as an angel investor and venture partner, with a preference for practical ideas and people who get on with things.
His current focus is on all things AI, including building a boutique consultancy to help transform businesses using laser-guided AI that drives both top-line growth and bottom-line efficiency, while staying at the forefront of emerging technologies and assembling a world-class AI team.
He is also actively exploring, investing in and building new ventures in the longevity and health space, with a focus on human performance, preventative care and lifestyle innovation.
As a committed biohacker, he regularly experiments on himself, often with enthusiasm and occasionally with regret.
His portfolio includes early investments in Eleven Labs, Until, Whoop, LKN, Toot, Stirr, SoleSavy and others. He also advises funds and platforms such as Bridge Invest, Concept Ventures, Gabit and Flight Fund and is an investor in SpaceX, Groq, Mr. Beast, Zoe and Whoop.
Firdaus was also an early dabbler in cryptocurrency, having become interested in blockchain technology back when it mainly attracted curious nerds and suspicious looks. He continues to hold strong positions in the space, particularly where it intersects with real-world utility.
He sits on the board of YPO and supports Yuva Unstoppable, a quietly brilliant charity improving education, sanitation and opportunity for underprivileged children in India. It’s a cause he’s been involved with for years and one that remains close to his heart.
He holds a degree from UMIST, the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, and completed postgraduate studies at London Business School. That said, most of his learning has come from the fine tradition of trying things, getting them wrong, and occasionally getting them right.
Firdaus splits his time between London, Dubai and Mumbai, working closely with founders and leadership teams building things that are hopefully useful, ideally elegant and occasionally profitable.
Outside of work, he is an experienced scuba diver, a dependable scrambled egg maker and a willing provider of piggybacks - strictly for passengers under 40 kilograms.
He’s also a lifelong fan of science fiction and remains quietly obsessed with what might be next for the body, mind and planet.
